* The person or legal entity ( including but not limited to corporations, trusts, limited liability companies) hereinafter referred to as “User” paying for notary /signing services is responsible for ensuring the authenticity and accuracy of the documents uploaded. Key Notary Group, LLC, hereinafter referred to as “Key Notary” is not responsible for verifying the content or legality of the documents.
* User Verification: The User must provide accurate and up-to-date information during the registration or document submission process.
* Consent to Notarization: User confirms that they are authorized to request notarization for the documents being submitting. User acknowledges that they understand the implications of notarization and that they are voluntarily seeking the service.
* Privacy and Security: Documents will be stored in the encrypted cloud based storage provided by Secured Signing Inc.
* Payment and Fees: All fees agreed upon in advance of the execution of documents.
* Jurisdiction and Governing Law: The Laws of the State which grant each notary the authority to perform notarizations shall govern that particular notarial act. At the time of this writing, the notaries are not located outside of the states of Michigan, Iowa and Vermont. The notaries shall identify which jurisdiction they are notarizing documents from during the signing process.
* Limitations of Liability: Key Notary and the Independent contractor notary performing the signing and/or notarization of documents shall have limited liability for any alleged damages resulting from Users online and / or in-person signing events. In no event shall the independent contractor notary, Key Notary or any Member, employee or agent of Key Notary be liable for more than $2,500 in damages.
* Termination of Service: Key Notary may terminate or suspend a User’s access to the platform for any reason whatsoever assuming such reason does not violate local, state or federal law.
* Communication: Key Notary will communicate with users through the contact information provided herein.
